Celebrating India: The "Freedom Catwalk" at Gulmohar Days!

Dear parents,

We are planning a small, informal event at Gulmohar Days on the 10th of August to celebrate our country's Independence day! Request all kids who are presently enrolled in our Story and Phonics clubs to please get ready for the "Freedom Catwalk": they need to dress as prominent personalities from Indian history. A number of kids have already signed up. Pandit Nehru, Gandhi Ji, Netaji Bose, Shivaji and Bhagat Singh are already taken. We also have one Kargil war Hero!! Not to mention a size-able number of Rani Laxmi Bai!!

Please do call/email to confirm your child's participation.

All library members below the age of 5 yrs are also most welcome to participate. Please do not leave entering your childs name to the list for the last day. We would like to know in advance and therefore make arrangements to accommodate that many children.

Event: Celebrating India!
Ages 3-5 yrs: "The Freedom Catwalk"
Date: Tuesday, 10th of August, 2010
Time: 5.00 to 6.30 pm

Looking forward to yet another fun event!
