Hi everyone,
Here's wishing you all a wonderful Holi!
As Nature celebrates spring and marks the advent of summer, a special reminder to all my young friends who are part of Gulmohar Days: please be careful with colour and be judicious in the use of water.
The Library will remain closed on Moday on account of Holi celebrations. However, the Trinity Speech and Communication Classes will be conducted as per schedule in the evening.
Wishing you much merriment and joy as the bright colours and water wash away all that is impure and fill our hearts with love and laughter!

Experience Art!
"Experience Art": the 2 day art workshop at Gulmohar days was an absolute success. Thanks Renu, for giving the kids a broader and more meaningful insight into art and for introducing them to the works of so many artists! I must admit that post the sessions you had with them, we have quite a few Paul Klee wanna-bees walking around! Sharing a couple of pictures that capture all the concentration, practice, fun and excitement that went into the workshop. Enjoy them!

Pongal-o-pongal!
The smell of incense and flowers greeted everyone who visited the Library on the 13th of January 2010 as all of us got together to celebrate the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu: Pongal. A big thank you to all the mothers who attended the function and took so much trouble to dress their kids in elegant ethnic wear. The kids eagerly waited for the pot to boil over and equally relished the sweet pongal and snacks that we served. In the short art session that followed, several kids captured the essence of the celebration as they drew the sun, sugarcane and lamps to capture the significance of the festival that gives thanks to the Sun. Enjoy the pictures!
